Robert “Bob” Lee Gilstrap died at his residence in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on Sunday, April 19, 2009 at the age of 62. The son of Roy Virgil and Levisa (Morris) Gilstrap was born on May 23, 1946 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Bob graduated from Stigler High School and received his masters in education from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Ok. Bob was both a teacher and a coach for 29 years. Bob was enjoying retirement spending his days reading, writing in his journal and taking walks. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Morris Dyer and Herman Dyer. Bob was survived by his three sons; Rob and his wife Lynn of Miami, OK, Cale Gilstrap of Tulsa, OK, David and his wife Rachel of Pryor, OK and four grandchildren Hunter, Holden, Hannah and Aubrey Gilstrap, brothers John Gilstrap, David Dyer and Dixon Dyer and sisters Eloise Wibben, Stella Long and Fleeta Nelson. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday April 23, 2009 at the First Christian Church in Miami, Oklahoma with Dr. Charles Wibben officiating.
