<p>Dana Denise (Smart) Hoggard, age 46, of Fox departed this life on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at her residence in Fox. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at the Ratliff City First Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Johnston and Rev. Mike Cox officiating. Interment will follow at the Ratliff City Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ratliff City.</p><p><br></p><p>Dana was born to the late Mr. James Ray Smart and Mrs. Jimmie Faye (Pierce) Smart on January 30, 1973 in Ardmore, OK.</p><p><br></p><p>Dana grew up and lived in the Fox area her entire life. She attended school at Fox Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1991 and went to Murray State College graduating with an Associate’s Degree. She married Sammy Hoggard on May 15, 1993 in Fox, OK.</p><p><br></p><p>Dana was a proud mother of her only daughter Avery and spent many hours traveling to livestock shows and sporting events. She enjoyed reading, spending time with family, and was occasionally known to pull a prank or two. Dana kept the record books for the Carter County Jr. Livestock Goat and Pig shows. Dana had previously worked for Fox Public Schools in the computer lab. She was a member of the Ratliff City Baptist Church.</p><p><br></p><p>Dana is preceded in death by her father James Ray Smart.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her husband Sammy Hoggard of the home; daughter, Avery Hoggard of the home; mother, Jimmie Faye Smart of Fox; brother, Ray Smart and wife Terrah of Falconhead; sister, Terri Honeycutt of Fox; nephews, Kyle and his wife BayLee Smart, Justin and wife Haley Smart, Kent and Brent Smart; Father and mother in law, Sam and Linda Hoggard of Ratliff City; Numerous other family members and a host of friends.</p><p><br></p><p>Serving as pallbearers will be Justin “Little Man” Marshall, Justin Marshall, Hoot Kirkpatrick, John Hankins, Larry Smart, and Nubbin McClanahan.</p><p><br></p><p>Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Kirkpatrick, Fox FFA Members, and the Fox Girls Basketball Team.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be 4-6P.M.
