Maxx Christopher

Maxx Christopher, 19, of Grants Pass died Saturday, February 4, 2012, as the result of an automobile accident in Grants Pass. Maxx Christopher was born in Kealakekua, Hawaii on January 4th 1993. Beloved son of Andrew & Jill Christopher and brother of Cody Christopher. Maxx accomplished a lot in his short life of 19 years, he attended Hidden Valley High School till 2009 when he joined the Job Corps in Yachats, Oregon where he spent 13 months in the Urban Forestry Program, while there Maxx excelled and received awards including Student of the month, Outstanding Achievement award and completed his GED and Graduated at the top of his Class in Urban Forestry. His Instructors described him as a confident, honest, intelligent and hardworking young man that had shown the desire and initiative to be successful in whatever he put his mind to. Maxx was also excellent Scuba Diver and enjoyed diving in Mexico, Caribbean and Grand Cayman, Maxx was well traveled for his years, and he took family trips to N.Y.C, WASHINGTON D.C. Philadelphia, Canada and throughout the western states. Maxx had a passion for classic cars and helped his dad in restoration of many cars. Maxx and his dad Andrew purchased a 1971 Opel GT for Maxx when he was 13 and spent the next three years restoring the Opel GT into a show winning car that won several trophies and was Maxx’s pride & joy. Maxx had acquired a work visa last year for New Zealand and put his skills to use there for several months. After returning back to America last fall Maxx had decided to go into the Military, he had just passed his test and took his physical & was to be sworn in & get his military I.D on February 6th. Survivors include his parents Andrew and Jill Christopher, Brother Cody Christopher, aunt and uncle Aim’e and Micheal Burdick, uncle Scott Sprecher, grandparents Marge Raffanti, Rod and Dena Sprecher, Uncles Roy and Pete Christopher, Aunts Irene and Monica Christopher.
