Bob Green went to be with his Lord on June 23, 2017, in Hood River, Ore. at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born on Dec. 1, 1929, in Tonkawa, Okla. He was one of six children born to Elmer and Priscilla Green. His family made their way to Oregon in the fall of 1937 in what was their first motor home. It was a flatbed truck with a large room built on it. In 1947 at the age of 18, he married the love of his life, Betty May Plaster on Dec. 22 in Stevenson, Wash. They had four boys: Dan, Clifford, Clinton and Keith. In 1968, Bob’s logging career took off. At the height of his business G&R trucking had 22 log trucks and 28 employees. His boys all worked in the family business. They also owned Milne Towing in Sparks, Nevada. Bob loved to fish and hunt with his kids and grandkids. It was said he had more lives than a cat. He survived many accidents and lived longer than all of his brothers. He is survived by his wife Betty, sister Virginia Goss, sons; Dan (Elaine) and Keith (Cindy), grandchildren; Kenn, Mike, Bobby, Terra, April, Devin and Danielle. He has eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Lewis, Melvin, Jack and Jerry and his two sons; Clifford and Clinton. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday July 1, 2017, at Anderson’s Tribute Center, a viewing will follow the service and a reception will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Valley Worship Center (5780 Highway 35, Mount Hood, OR 97041). Interment will be private at Idlewilde Cemetery (980 Tucker Road, Hood River.)
