Joyce Elaine McMasters - Thompson March 14, 1958 - Sept. 12, 2020 Joyce Elaine McMasters - Thompson, 62, of Clairmont Drive, Altoona, passed away on Saturday at home. She was born on March 14, 1958 in Altoona, a daughter of Melvin L. and Mary F. (Fagan) McMasters. Along with her parents she is survived by sons: Travis McMasters, married to Kristen, and Troy Thompson; a sister, Donna, married to Dave O'Donnell; three nieces; and two nephews. Joyce attended Altoona Area High School. She worked as a housekeeper at the Altoona Hospital throughout the 1980's and was a retired foster grandparent volunteer through the Blair Senior Services at Kids First. She enjoyed babysitting, watching lifetime movies and was an avid New England Patriots fan. Joyce was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in Altoona. A private funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2020 at The Good Funeral Home, Inc. with visitation on Thursday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park. thegoodfuneralhomeinc.com
