Charles B. Anderson, Jr., 74, of Bellefonte, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at his camp in Philipsburg. Born on February 7, 1943, he was the son of Charles B. Anderson, Sr. and the late Ida (Walker) Anderson. He was a graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. He was employed by Cerro, where he later retired from. Charles served in the United States Air Force as a mechanic and a jet fueler from 1963-1967. He is survived by his father, Charles B. Anderson, Sr. Also surviving are five brothers: Robert of Potters Mills, James of Tyrone, Thomas of Bellefonte, Denis of Bellefonte, and Gary of Bellefonte. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by one sister, Anna. Charles was a member of the Philipsburg Elks and the Bellefonte Undines. He especially enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing and spending time at his camp. Friends will be received on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 6-7pm at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. at 206 N. Spring Street Bellefonte. A memorial service will follow at 7pm at the funeral home with Rev. Calvin Miller officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
