Allen Hamp

Allen John Hamp, 62, Fostoria died Monday afternoon July 29, 2019 at his home. He was born April 25, 1957 in Altoona son of the late Richard W. and Dorothy V. (DeArmitt) Hamp. Surviving are two sons, Andrew of Hollidaysburg and Allen R. (fianceé, Ashley) of Antis Township; two daughters, Angel Marie (Darin) Homan of Altoona and Danielle Marie Hamp of Tyrone; numerous grandchildren; a brother, Richard C. (Jane) of Lebanon; two sisters, Debra A. Metzler of Fostoria and Linda A. (Tom Cox) Hamp of Bellwood; and the mothers of his children, Linda Miller of Hollidaysburg and Laura Stone Settle of Tyrone. He was preceded in death by a sister, Tina. Allen spent his younger years limited to working part time jobs due to a back injury. He took pride in the work he did and mostly enjoyed doing simple auto repairs, lawn care and painting. He lived for his grandchildren, saying they were his strength to fight on through his illness’. He shared the love for all of his children and grandchildren equally regardless of any situation. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 pm Friday, August 2, 2019 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 11am Saturday, August 3, 2019 at the funeral home, Rev. Julie Piper officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Allen’s memory may be made to the family, c/o Debra Metzler 500 Watts Rd. Tyrone, Pa 16686, to assist with funeral expenses.
