Amalia Cristina Martin, 75, passed away surrounded by her loving family Saturday afternoon January 18, 2020 at Epworth Manor, Tyrone. She was born April 30, 1944 in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, daughter of the late Antonio Seijas and Maria de Lourdes (Iribarren)Seijas. Surviving are her husband, Tom Martin, of Bellwood; a daughter, Dr. Axelle Wiegering-Marcelli (Jim), of Hollidaysburg; a son, Dr. Carlos Wiegering (Heather), of Hollidaysburg; a son, SFC. Alejandro Wiegering (Rebecca) of Leesville, LA; her beloved grandchildren: Gina Wiegering, Axelle T. Marcelli, Sarah Kinney, Gianna Marcelli, Emilio Marcelli, Nico Wiegering and Alejandro Wiegering; a brother, Francisco Seijas Iribarren of Caracas, Venezuela; a nephew, Luis Seijas, of Bellwood, and multiple nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lila Seijas de Arzu; a brother, Rafael Seijas Iribarren, and a brother, Lt. Col. Luis Seijas Iribarren. Cristina enjoyed playing tennis, canasta, painting, traveling the world, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a devout Pittsburgh Pirates fan. She touched many with her kindness, generosity and her passion for life. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family suggests that contributions in Cristina's memory be made to the Bellwood Antis Public Library.
