Andrew Starzesky

Andrew C. “Bud” Starzesky, Jr., 78, Antis Township went home to be with the Lord Saturday evening February 17, 2018 at his home. He was born August 13, 1939 in Waterbury, CT son of the late Andrew and Hilda (Nearhoof) Starzesky. On July 24, 2000 he married Martha I. (Crawford) Green at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bellwood. Surviving are his wife; step son, Steve (Teresa) Green of Altoona; step daughter, Fawn (Ronald) Corrado of Bellwood; and sister, Suzanne (Steve) Wilt of Palm Coast, Florida. Bud was a US Navy veteran serving from 1959-61. He retired as a custodian at Tyrone School District after 20 years of service and was a member of the Public School Employees’ Retirement System. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Tyrone where he enjoyed singing and praising the Lord he so loved. Bud enjoyed fishing, rafting, feeding the wild turkeys around his home and training his Brittany Spaniel hunting dogs. Friends will be received from 6-8pm Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018 and 10-11am Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 11am Thursday at the funeral home, Pastor Aaron Jeffery officiating. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood. The family suggests that contributions in Bud’s memory be made to Grace Baptist Church, 2308 Adams Ave., Tyrone, PA 16686 or Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 East Pleasant Valley Blvd. Altoona, PA 16602.
