Carol Ann Hillard Nov. 8, 1942 – Feb. 9, 2020 Carol Ann Hillard, 77, Bellwood died Sunday afternoon February 9, 2020 at Epworth Manor, Tyrone. She was born Nov. 8,1942 in Altoona, daughter of the late James R. and Elenora E. (Collier) Riley. On July 1, 1961, she married her high school sweetheart, John L. Hillard at Olivet Baptist Church, Bellwood, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 25, 2018. Surviving are her two daughters, Pamela Jo (Mark) Yohn of Bellwood and Tracey Ann (Scott) McClellan of Fallentimber; three grandchildren, John Michael and Ashley Marie Yohn, and Meghan Ann McClellan; and her beloved dog, Riley. She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard “Dick” Riley; and a sister, Joann Gault. Carol was a 1960 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School. She formerly served two years as a crossing guard at Bellwood Antis Northside School. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Bellwood and the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society. She was an avid Steelers and NASCAR fan and enjoyed gardening and decorating her home for the holidays. Carol was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her family. Friends will be received from 2 to 4pm Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 4pm Saturday at the funeral home, Pastor Randy Zitterbart officiating. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood The family suggests that contributions in Carol’s memory be made to Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, Altoona.
