Daniel P. George, 45 Antis Township died unexpectedly Monday at his home. He was born in Ephrata son of Philip N. and Nona J. (Courtright) George. On February 26, 2015 he married Tricia A. Poad in Altoona. Surviving are his wife; a son, Joshua D. George at home; his parents of Antis Township; two sisters, Lois J. (William) Huling of Belleville and Amanda D. (David) George-Wheaton of Denver, Co.; and 2 step-sons, Alec and Adam Bowers both of Bellwood. Dan was a 1988 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School. He was a heavy equipment operator with the International Union of Operating Engineers. Dan was a member of the American Legion, Bellwood. He enjoyed hunting and all sporting events especially Bellwood-Antis football. Dan loved his golden retriever, Delilah. Friends will be received from 2-4pm Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A memorial service will be held at 4pm Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the funeral home, Randy Zitterbart officiating.
