<p>David S. Johnson, 50, Cressona, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon at Schuylkill Medical Center, Pottsville.</p><p>He was born in Philipsburg son of Paul A. and Brenda J. (Mihalko) Johnson. He married Elizabeth C. Espinoza in 1995.</p><p>Surviving are his wife; five children, Matthew (Alexandra) of Pittsburgh, Andrew, Alexandra, Maria and Nicholas Johnson all at home; his parents of Bellwood; a sister, Paula (Mark) Boorse of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; a brother, Eric (Missy) of Bellwood ; two nieces, Kelsey and Madyson; and a nephew Landon. </p><p> He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sarah.</p><p>David was a 1984 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School and retired in 2005 at the rank of Sergeant First Class in the US Army after 21 years of service. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Bellwood. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.</p><p><br></p><p>Friends will be received from 4-8pm Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 10am Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Bellwood, the Rev. Jay A. Morris officiating.</p><p>Interment with military honors will be held at Beulah Cemetery, Ramey.</p><p><br></p><p>The family suggests contributions in David’s memory be made to St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven, Pa. or Trinity United Methodist Church, Bellwood, or Shriner’s Hospital for Children c/o Jaffa Shrine, Altoona.</p><p><br></p>
