Debra Langenbacher

Debra L. “Debbie” Langenbacher, 59, Altoona passed away Friday afternoon surrounded by her loving family at UPMC Altoona after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Altoona daughter of Ronald D. and Nancy L. (Gillmen) Wininger. On May 22, 1976 she married Michael L. Langenbacher at the home of her parents in Altoona. Surviving are her husband of 40 years; two daughters, Rebecca L. (Todd) Yarnell and Michelle R.(Patrick) Schroth both of Altoona; five grandchildren, her angels, Ellen and Grace, and her princes, Jamen, Isaac and Kaleb; her parents of Altoona; and a sister, Ronda Wininger of Altoona. She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, William W. and Audrey Dolly Koch; maternal grandparents, James E. and Alma R. Haigh; a sister, Roni Lynn Wininger; and aunt, Shirley J. Holl; her mother in law, Betty Jane Langenbacher; and a very special brother in law, James E. Langenbacher. Debbie retired as a clerk in the deli department at Martin’s Foods after 28 years of service. She enjoyed collecting antiques, and attending flea markets, auctions and yard sales. She also enjoyed gardening at her home and attending fall festivals and foliage events. Her greatest love and passion were her grandchildren that were her pride and joy. Debbie was one on the most thoughtful and caring persons one would ever know. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8pm Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 11am Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the funeral home, Tony Conrad officiating. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood. The family suggests that contributions in Debbie’s memory be made to Stand Up To Cancer (standup2cancer.org)
