Dorothy M. “Dot” Smith, 86, Antis Township died early Monday morning at Hollidaysburg Veterans Home. She was born in Antis Township daughter of the late John Chester Hollen and Della Mae (Cherry) Oswald and step father, George Oswald. On June 6, 1949 she married E. Paul Smith in Winchester, Virginia. Surviving are her beloved husband of 67 years; a daughter, Denise A. (Richard) Nicewonger of Antis Township; three sons, Randy Glen (Susan) Smith of Prescott, Arizona, and Ronald Paul (Sandra) and Kenneth Allen Smith both of Antis Township; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and two sisters, Martha Cherry of Tipton and Katherine Patton in Georgia. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Dorothy was a member of Riggles Gap Bible Church where she taught Sunday school from the young age of 16 until she was in her 80’s and was affectionately known as “Teacher Dot”. She enjoyed singing, reading and loved children. She especially loved spending time with her family. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8pm Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 11am Friday, Sept. 30, 2016 at Riggles Gap Bible Church, Pastor Elijah Tower officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
