Earl Garber

Earl Lynn Garber August 17, 1953 - September 19, 2013 Earl Lynn Garber, 60, Bellwood entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ early Thursday morning at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh. He was born in Pittsburgh son of Earl E. and E. Mardell (Markley) Garber. He married Cynthia L. Benn on Dec. 15, 1973 at Calvary United Methodist Church, Bellwood. Surviving are his wife; two sons: Matthew L. (Christina) and Jason E. (Jennifer) both of Altoona; two daughters: Laura B. of Collingswood, NJ and Sarah E. of Altoona; ten grandchildren: Eli, Daniella, Ezra, Anya, Zechariah, Josiah, Timothy, Anna, Iryna, Liliya and an expected grandchild; his parents of Antis Township; three brothers: John T. (Joanne), E. Mark and J. Todd (Deborah) all of Antis Township; and a sister: Penny (Walter) Regula of Somerville, NJ. Earl was a 1971 graduate of Bellwood Antis High School and attended Penn State University-Altoona Campus. He completed a chaplaincy training course. He was a software consultant and owner of Earl Garber & Associates. Earl attended Roseland Christian Fellowship, Glasgow. He enjoyed gardening, especially blueberries, and crafting stain glass window panels. He also enjoyed Bible study, playing cards, board games and ping pong. Earl especially enjoyed spending time and communicating with his family and church families. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday, September 23, 2013 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 11a.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Roseland Christian Fellowship Church, Glasgow, Pastor Sandy Hommer officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Central Pennsylvania Community Foundation earmarked for the Earl L. Garber Family Foundation.
