Harry T. Irwin, 91, Antis Township died unexpectedly Saturday evening October 12, 2019 at his home. He was born November 24, 1927 in Antis Township, son of the late Fred F. and Easty (Miller) Irwin. On Nov. 21, 1950, he married Mary Ann Nachtman in Cumberland, Md., and she preceded him in death on March 24, 2019. He is survived by his son, Harry L. (Tina) of Antis Township; and a granddaughter, Stacy (Josh) Decker of N. Huntington. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Keith. Harry was a 1946 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School and he served with the US Army during World War II. He retired as a plant superintendent at New Enterprise Stone & Lime, Co. Harry was a life member of the Bavarian Aide Society Altoona, and a member of Unter Uns, Swiss Riffle Club and Newburg Fire Company. He was also a member of the UVHA, Bellwood where he served as a trustee. Harry and his wife enjoyed traveling and visiting casinos. They visited 48 states and all of the National Parks. He enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and also loved doing lawn care at his home. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed watching football on television.
