Homer Nagle Obituary

Homer I. “Ton” Nagle, 89, Bellwood died Wednesday at The Village at Morrisons Cove. He was born in Buckhorn son of the late Albert and Dorothy (Grove) Nagle. He married Thomasina J. Kovac on Jan. 31, 1948 and she preceded him in death on Jan. 24, 2004. Surviving are two sons, Mike Parks of Ames, Iowa and Richard Nagle of Altoona; two daughters, Cindy Wingard of Altoona and Linda Dilling of Martinsburg; 4 grandchildren; Donald and Andrew Byers, Robert Nagle and Corey Talbott; and 2 sisters, Peg Marie Melhorn of North Carolina and Betty Lou Melhorn of Altoona. He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Mitchell Nagle; a granddaughter, Amanda Renee Byers; and two sisters, Linda Kitba and Irene Melhorn. He was a US Marine Corps veteran serving during World War II in the Pacific Theater. Ton retired April 1, 1988 as a press operator at Cresson Brick after 41 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading and woodworking. At the request of the deceased there will be no public viewing, visitation or funeral service. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood. The family suggests that contributions in Ton's memory be made to The Village at Morrisons Cove Activity Fund
