James Fetterman Obituary

James E. “Fuzz” Fetterman, 81, formerly of Greenwood died early Tuesday morning at Hollidaysburg Veterans’ Home. He was born in Punxsutawney son of the late David Herbert and Hazel (Weaver) Fetterman. On June 28, 1958 he married Mary G. Eisenhart at Greenwood United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Robert J. (Carolyn) of Altoona and Benjamin J. (Monica)of Bellwood; a daughter, Susan R. “Suzie” Fetterman of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren, Cory, Amy and Mason Fetterman and Jared Graham; a great grandchild, Avery and great grandchild, James Robert expected in March; a brother, Herbie (Donna)of Newville; and a sister, Kathy (Steve) Wasylak of Juniata. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Langenbacher and Mary Alice Thomas. Jim was a 1954 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School and a US Army veteran. He retired as a machine operator at SKF Industries, Altoona. He was a member of Greenwood United Methodist Church, the Jaffa Shrine, where he was a member of the Calliope Clowns Unit, and Juniata Lodge #282 F&AM. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, attending Bellwood-Antis Football games and coaching Little League baseball in Greenwood. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8pm Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 11am Friday, January 13, 2017 at the funeral home, Pastor Duane J. Coy officiating. Inurnment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township. The family suggests that contributions in Jim’s memory be made to Greenwood United Methodist Church.
