Janet Miner

Janet Marie Miner, 60, Bellwood passed away Thursday at UPMC Shadyside Pittsburgh. She was born in Altoona daughter of the late William C. and Cora (Williamson) Greene. Surviving are her husband, Charles Miner, Jr.; four children, Angel Fowler of Wellington, Texas, Raymond McConnell of Lecanto, Florida, James “Beau” McKee of Bellwood and Troy McKee of Altoona; two step daughters, Lori Houser of Westover and Melissa Blake of Bellwood; twenty grandchildren; a sister, Carolyn Davis of Port St. John, Florida; two brothers, Larry Greene of Altoona and Bill Green of Bellwood; three half sisters, Darlene Greene of Deland, Florida, Bonnie Karolson of Stow, Ohio and Barbara Damiano of Bellwood; and a half brother, Chuck Shade of Blandburg. She was preceded in death by brothers, Marlin and Dave Greene and a sister, Madeline White. Janet was a 1973 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School. She was previously employed at various Pizza Hut restaurants in the area. She enjoyed making wedding cakes and especially loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. Janet will be remembered for being loving, giving and generous to all who knew her. Friends will be received from 4-8pm Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood where a funeral service will be held at 11am Monday, November 3, 2014 with Pastor Randy Zitterbart officiating. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Blair Chapter American Cancer Society.
