Jolene G. Lannen, 85, Tyrone, formerly of Tipton, went to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior and her husband Friday at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Tipton daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Hooper) Taylor.
She married Richard E. Lannen on June 15, 1949 at First Methodist Church, Bellwood; and he preceded her in death on Oct. 24, 2013.
Surviving are two sons, Richard L. (Kaye) Lannen of Tipton and James (Lisa) of St. Leonard, Md.; two daughters, Dixie E. Myers with whom she resided and Diana L. (Ken) Bartlebaugh of Tipton; five grandchildren, Jason, Travis, Angela, Rick and Kathy; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great- great grandson. She was the last of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law John Myers III in Dec. 2001.
She retired as a label watcher from DelGrosso Foods, Tipton.
Jolene was a member of Bible Baptist Church, Tyrone and enjoyed making crafts, the Dallas Cowboys, Pittsburgh Penguins and Bellwood-Antis Football. She loved her grand-dogs, Hannah and Messiah.
Friends will be received from 11am-1pm Monday, July 27,2015 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday at the funeral home, Pastor Ken Patterson officiating.
Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
The family suggests that contributions in Jolene’s memory be made to Bible Baptist Church, Tyrone.
