Kathryn McCaulley

Kathryn B. McCaulley 95, formerly of Bellwood died Saturday evening at Hollidaysburg Veterans Home. She was born in Claysburg daughter of the late Irvin and Nellie (Burket) Dively. She married Paul R. McCaulley on September 24, 1946 in Bellwood. He preceded her in death on June 18, 2004. Surviving are a daughter: Bonnalyn K. “Bonnie” Calvert of Hollidaysburg; a grandson; Christian W. Calvert of Hollidaysburg; and a brother: Richard (Carol) Dively of Claysburg. She was preceded in death by two brothers: infant Robert Austin and Charles Paul; and a sister Jean Markley. Kathryn was a US Army veteran serving during World War II. She retired as owner of Paul & Kay’s Barber and Beauty Shop, Bellwood and also taught cosmetology at Altoona Beauty School. Kay was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hollidaysburg and Tyrone Chapter Order of Eastern Star. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8p.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2013 and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood where an Eastern Star service will also be held Tuesday. A funeral service will be held at 11a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, Rev. Dennis Derr officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood. The family suggests that contributions in Kay’s memory be made to Bellwood-Antis Public Library or First United Methodist Church, Hollidaysburg.
