Obituary
Kay Donald Messner, 84, Antis Township, died early Monday morning September 23, 2019 at UPMC Altoona. He was born December 15, 1934 in Bellwood son of the late Percy C. and Mary Elizabeth (Myers) Messner. He married Patricia E. Miller Surviving are his wife; a son Donald K. of Tenn.; two daughters, Karen L. (Tom) Hickes of York and Kathy (Larry) Flis of Gibsonia; eight grandchildren, Nicholas, Jill, Julie, Matthew, Meghan, Katie, David and Heather; sixteen great grandchildren, Grant, Gaige, Leah, Norah, Claire, Nathaniel, Noah, Caleb, Charlotte, Thomas, Anna, Laura, John, Claire, Brian and Julia; two sisters, Marian “Mitzi” Shuster of New Jersey and Madeline L. “Maddy” Berkstresser of Bellwood; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Curtis, Robert and his twin, Ray; and three sisters, Elizabeth Nagle, Ruth Carr and Margie; and a granddaughter, Brianne. Kay was a 1952 graduate of Bellwood Antis High School. He was a former owner and operator of Messner Garage, Bellwood. He was a member of the United Veterans Home Association, Bellwood. Kay enjoyed fixing lawnmowers. At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing, visitation or funeral service. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township. The family suggests that contributions in Kay’s memory be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, 601 N. 4th St. Bellwood, Pa. 16617
