Larry D. Greene, 72, Altoona died early Friday morning January 25, 2019 at UPMC Altoona. He was born June 21, 1946 in Altoona son of the late William C. and Cora (Williamson) Greene. On Nov. 26, 1976, he married Donna L. Foor and she preceded him in death on July 30, 2003. Surviving are three sons, Scott Alan in Michigan, Todd A. of Williamsburg and Brandon S. of Altoona; three daughters, Wahnetah Purvis of Erie, and Tanya Cukalinski and Krista L. Greene both of Altoona; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles of Blandburg and William, Jr. of Bellwood; and four sisters, Darlene in Florida, Bonnie Karolson of Stow, Oh., Barbara Damiano of Bellwood and Carolyn Davis in Florida. He was preceded in death by siblings, Marlin, David J., his twin, Madaline White and Janet Miner. Larry was a 1965 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High school and he retired in 2004 as a construction foreman at Mid State Construction, Altoona. He was a member of Grace Bible Church, Hollidaysburg and a 30 year member of the “Amen Express” singing group. Larry enjoyed woodworking and was an avid sports fan, especially of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers and Penn State. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 11am Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019 at the funeral home, Pastor Lou Hileman officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township. Family and close friends are invited to Grace Bible Church after the funeral service for a luncheon.
