Larry McClellan

Larry R. McClellan, 69, Longs, South Carolina, formerly of Tipton, died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018 at his home. He was born September 24, 1948 in Altoona son of the late Chester R., Jr. and Anna Jane (Lewis) McClellan. Surviving are three sons, Christopher L. of Altoona, Bradley A. McNeal of Tyrone and Dylan R of Huntingdon; a daughter, Jennifer D. of Tyrone; three grandchildren, Chase, Isabella and Blaine and an expected grandchild; a brother, Darren E. (Marlene) of Tipton; two sisters, Sonia J. (Dave J.) McCartney of Antis Township and Patty A. Harris of Tipton; many nieces and nephews; and his faithful canine companion, Zeba. He was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Alicia Nicole and Jessica Eileen. Larry retired as a machine operator at Chicago Rivet, Tyrone and was a US Air Force veteran serving during the Vietnam Era. He enjoyed buying and fixing cars, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles and going hot rodding. He also enjoyed time at the beach, jet skiing and boating the inter coastal waterways and sea, fresh and salt water fishing. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8pm Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 11am Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018 at the funeral home, Pastor Eric Shafer officiating. Interment with military honors will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township. The family suggests contributions in Larry’s memory be made to Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, Altoona.
