Pauline M. “Polly” Hopkins, 88, Bellwood died Tuesday morning January 5, 2021 at UPMC Altoona. She was born May 25, 1932 in Doylesburg, Franklin County, daughter of the late Sylvester E. and Mae E. (Hockenberry) Wolfe. She was twice married, first to Gene Moore who preceded her in death on Aug. 2, 1996. She then married Burton F. Hopkins. Surviving are her husband; two sons, Gene E. (Pam) Moore, Jr.of Altoona, and Robert A. (Jill) Moore of Bellwood; a daughter, Tina J. (Marc) Reighard of Royal Palm Beach, Florida; six grandchildren, Joshua, Amanda, Shad, and Matt Moore, Jessica Burnett and Christopher Wertz; 12 great grandchildren; three siblings, Charles E. of Altoona, C. Jean Riley of Bellwood, and Deborah A. Lamarre of Wylie, Texas. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Donald A., Albert J., Patsy L. Gathagan and Stella M. Rutherford. Polly was a 1950 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School, and retired as a line operator at General Cable Co., Altoona. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Bellwood. Polly enjoyed traveling and fishing on the pontoon boat at Glendale Lake. She dearly loved spending precious time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Due to COVID 19 restrictions, private services will be held at the convenience of her family. A public service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date. The family suggests that contributions in Polly’s memory be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, Bellwood or Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (lls.org)
