Richard A. Rinker, Sr. 71 of Bellwood died Saturday evening at the home of his daughter. He was born in Altoona son of the late Chalmer P., Sr. and Helen E. (Greene) Rinker. He married Carol Lee Markel on Aug. 17, 1967 in Bellwood and she preceded him in death on June 15, 2014. Surviving are his son, Richard A., Jr. (Ann) of Bellwood; a daughter, Theresa (Michael) Rodland of Bellwood; five grandchildren, Mikayla, Lauren and Logan Rodland and Reese and Sadie Rinker; two brothers, William B. and Edwin J. He was preceded in death by brothers, Chalmer P., Jr. and James L. He was an US Army veteran serving during the Vietnam Era. Richard retired as an over the road transportation truck driver. Friends will be received from 6-8pm Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 8pm Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Randy Zitterbart officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
