Susan J. Covert, 43, Breezewood, formerly of Bellwood died very unexpectedly Sunday evening at her home. She was born in Altoona daughter of Deanna Jean (Black) and the late Barry D. Brown. She married Gary L. Covert on Sept. 10, 2011 in Breezewood. Surviving are her husband; a step-son, Corey Oliver of Breezewood; her mother of Antis Township; two sisters, Brenda J. Jennings of Duncansville and her twin, Sandra J. (Bill) Stephens of Altoona; a brother, Nathan B. (Nikki) Brown of Bellwood; her mother in law, Gladys Brown of Everett; nieces and nephews, Carly (Tony) Jennings Orsino, Kadee Stephens, Cara Jennings, Ethan and Brady Brown, Ethan Fix, Grace, Emily, Olivia and Gregory Covert. She was preceded in death by her father in law, Gary M. Covert. She was a 1989 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School and a 1993 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Susan was employed as store manager at Rite Aid Pharmacy, Everett. She attended the Breezewood Lighthouse Assembly of God and enjoyed crafts, sewing and baking. Her family was the most important part of her life. Friends will be received from 11:00am – 3:00pm on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 3pm Saturday at the funeral home, Pastor Jon Wyns officiating. Interment will be at Broad Top Cemetery, Broad Top City. The family suggests contributions in Susan’s memory be made to American Cancer Society, Blair Unit or Breezewood Lighthouse Assembly of God.
