Todd A. Patterson, 46, Bellwood died early Monday morning at his home. He was born in Altoona son of Pearl E. (Gardner) and the late Ray L. Patterson. Surviving are his mother of Bellwood; a brother, Mark A. (Ginger) of Bellwood; a sister, Beth A. DeArmitt of Bellwood; four nephews and a niece, Eric, Adam, and Cory DeArmitt and Tobias and Sidney Patterson; great nieces and nephews; and his canine companion and friend, Skye. He was a 1985 graduate of Bellwood Antis High School and a graduate of Penn State University and formerly attended Williamsport Area Community College. Todd was a veteran of the US Marine Corps serving during Desert Storm. He was currently serving as sergeant first class with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard including two tours of duty in Iraq and one tour in Afghanistan. Todd was employed as a field service engineer at HDT Global, Solomon, OH. Todd was a member of Logan’s Valley Baptist Church, Bellwood. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and going on motorcycle runs. Todd was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed camping and was an amateur inventor. He was a rock collector with a collection from all over the world. Todd was an active supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project and the Spc. Chad A. Edmundson Memorial Dice Run. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8pm Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 11am Friday, January 16, 2015 at the funeral home, the Rev. Tim Flanagan officiating. Interment with military honors will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions in Todd’s memory be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (woundedwarriorproject.org)
