William A. Burch, 82, Bellwood died early Tuesday morning at Epworth Manor, Tyrone. He was born in Altoona son of the late William H. and Thelma E. (Pelter) Burch. Surviving are two sons, William E. (Katherine) of Bellwood and Jeffrey T. (Lynn) of Springdale, Arkansas; five grandsons; and numerous great grandchildren. Bill was a 1950 graduate of Altoona High School, a 1953 graduate of Penn State Altoona and attended the University of Pittsburgh. He retired Oct. 1, 1991 as vice president of insurances and accounts receivable at Dresser Leasing Corp., Pittsburgh. He was a member of the Heidelburg Country Club, a lifetime member of the Bavarian Aide Society and UVA, Altoona, a member of Juniata VFW, Bellwood Eagles and the Swiss Rifle Club. At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of his family. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill’s memory may be made to Central PA Humane Society.
