William R. “Woody” Walk, 61 Tyrone died unexpectedly Thursday afternoon at Tyrone Hospital. He was born in Altoona son of William and Helen E. (Hollen) Walk. He married Yonnie J. (O’Shell) Walk on Aug. 8, 1992 in Bellwood. Surviving are his wife; a son, William A. of Altoona; two daughters, Rachel E.(Ron) Eamigh of Riggles Gap and Brandi J. Williamson of Altoona; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild; his parents of Bellwood; 3 brothers, Ronald L. and George A.(Elizabeth) both of Bellwood and David J.(Robin) of Reightown; 2 sisters, Marilyn (Don) Boytim of Tyrone and Karen (Richard) Sinisi of Altoona; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lois Jean and a brother, Gerald L. “Bog” Walk. He was a 1971 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School. Woody retired as a supervisor at FCI Corp. Mount Union. He was a member of Bellwood Church of the Brethren. An avid fisherman, he especially enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren and hanging out with his grandson, Gage. Woody enjoyed playing softball with the Croatian Club softball team, Smoke Run. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8pm Monday, June 15, 2015 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 11am Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor Pastor Ben Hoover officiating. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
