John Bennett

John William Bennett age 71 of Brownsville, PA died Monday, July 30, 2012 in Monongahela Valley Hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born on February 23, 1941 in Blainesburg, PA. Son of the late Louis W. and Flora Toye Bennett. He was predeceased by his father-in-law: David L. Wyatt He retired from the US Postal Service as Postmaster from 84 Post Office . Member of American Legion of California Life Member of the Disable American Veterans Masonic Lodge of California Life Member of the California Gun Club Elks in Uniontown AMVETS Hopwood Social Member of the West Brownsville Fire Department He is survived by his wife whom he married on April 23, 1966: Dixie L. Wyatt Bennett 2 Sons: John David Bennett Mark Alan (Jennifer) Bennett 2 Granddaughters: Nola Elizabeth Genesis Brother: Kenneth (Marion) Bennett Gary ( Cynthia) Bennett Several nieces and nephews Mother-in-law: Elizabeth Wyatt and companion Ernie Magario Brother-in-law: David L. Wyatt Friends will be received in the Skirpan Funeral Home 135 Park St. Brownsville, PA on Friday from 2 – 8PM. Where a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:00AM with the Rev. Paul Sandusky officiating. Interment Lafayette Memorial Park.
