Charles Pulis

Charles N. Pulis, 73, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at the Forest Park Health Center in Carlisle, PA. Born on June 24, 1947 in Wyckoff, NJ, he was the son of the late Sylvester D. and Hubertha (Tanis) Pulis. He is survived by two daughters, Amy Luchetti and her husband Lenny, of Marion, IN, and Lauren Schultz and her husband Nathan, of Boonton, NJ, two sisters, Nella Rosendale, of Hawthorne, NJ, and Lois Deroos and her husband J. Barry, of Mechanicsburg, PA; and five grandchildren. Charles was a graduate of Eastern Christian High School in North Haledon, NJ. He then went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in business from Tiffin University in Tiffin, Ohio. With 25 years of employment at Messiah University, he retired as a supervisor with the Campus Events Department. When he wasn’t at work, he could often be found outside, cutting lawns and gardening. Charles was a member of Liberti Church in Camp Hill, PA. Charlie loved to sing in choirs and eat tasty steak. He also loved to gather family and friends together and was happiest behind his grill making burgers for family and friends. Most of all, he loved to lend a helping hand in practical ways to people in need. He especially had a heart for Messiah University’s International students, many of whom worked with him. He was beloved by his family and friends, his Messiah family, his Liberti church family, and his Forest Park family. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on May 10, 2021 at the Liberti Church, 515 S 32nd St, Camp Hill, PA, with Pastor Matt Looloian officiating. Myers-Baker Funeral & Cremation Services, Camp Hill, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association-Greater Harrisburg area chapter, 9378, 2595 Interstate Dr suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110, https://www.alz.org/pa or to the International Students Program at Messiah University.
