Ruth Wrightstone Keck, 89, of Carlisle died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at home.
Born Nov. 3, 1921, in York, the daughter of the late Edward and Bertha Schroll Wrightstone and the widow of Cyrus H. Keck.
Mrs. Keck worked at the former Carlisle Shoe Factory and retired from Carlisle Tire and Wheel. She attended Waggoners United Methodist Church and Middlesex United Methodist Church. She was a member of VFW Post 477, Carlisle.
She is survived by two daughters, Viona Nisley of Carlisle and Jacqueline Ballew of Carlisle; a son, Robert L. Keck of Newville; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Keck; a daughter, Donna M. Greshem; two brothers, George and Robert Wrightstone; and two sisters, Mabel Zeigler and Arlene Hysick.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Ronald Bergard officiating. Burial will be in Waggoners United Methodist Church Cemetery, Carlisle. There will be a viewing from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
