Adin Lehman

Adin Leroy Lehman, 88, a resident at Menno Haven, passed away Thursday evening, April 20, 2017 at the nursing center. Born October 12, 1928 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Reuben and Katie B. Lehman. A self-employed farmer, Mr. Lehman had also worked as a mechanic at Stouffer Brothers in Chambersburg for 17 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of Pleasant View Mennonite Church. Mr. Lehman enjoyed singing spiritual songs and liked spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His beloved wife, Helen Meyers Lehman, whom he married January 1, 1950, preceded him in death on November 13, 2006. He is survived by two sons, Eugene Lehman (Carol) of Eureka, IL and Dean Lehman (Brenda) of Chambersburg; his daughter, Suzann Eberly (Lynn) of Fayetteville; nine grandchildren, Joshua Lehman (Jenny), Brian Lehman (Sara), Andrew Lehman (Emily), Duane Lehman (Kristen), Eric Lehman (April), Michael Lehman (Stacy), Diane Helman (Nick), Stephanie Stahl (Wesley), and Amanda Wong (Chris); and twenty-two great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Helen Martin and Frances Arrowood, both of Chambersburg; and a brother, Verne Lehman of Hagerstown. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Elizabeth Yeager, Preston Lehman, and David Lehman; his son, Steven Lehman; and his great granddaughter, Alivia Joy Lehman. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, April 24, 2017 at Pleasant View Mennonite Church, 346 Warm Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Pastor Harold E. Yeager, Pastor Allen Eshleman, and Joshua Lehman will officiate. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 PM Sunday at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Menno Haven Auxiliary, 2011 Scotland Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
