Alice M. Miller, age 96, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017, at Penn Hall Nursing Center. Born November 28, 1920, in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph W. and Elsie B. Leidig Byers. A homemaker most of her adult life, Mrs. Miller enjoyed caring for and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Scotland United Methodist Church, AARP, and the American Legion Post 46 Auxiliary. She is survived by a son, Samuel E. “Sam” Miller (wife Anna) of Chambersburg, PA; three grandchildren, Autumn Miller, Sunshine Thomas (husband Shane), and Sam J. Miller (wife Mel); and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett V. Miller in 1992, two twin daughters, a son, a grandson, and a sister. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at 1 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Pastor Bruce Gowe will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
