Carlin Morris

Carlin W. “Carl” Morris, age 81, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 4, 2017, with his family by his side. Born May 19, 1936, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Wilbur R. and Fedora Grumbine Morris. Mr. Morris was a 1954 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School. He served honorably for 8 years in the PA Army National Guard. Mr. Morris enjoyed amateur radio, riding motorcycles, NASCAR Racing, and roller skating. He was active in the Antietam Radio Association and the Cumberland Valley Amateur Radio Club. Surviving is his wife of 34 years, S. Jean Morris, whom he married on May 16, 1983, two children, Dane R. Morris of Chambersburg, PA and Dena L. Graham (husband Bob) of Chambersburg, PA; step-children, Wendy J. Clark of Shippensburg, PA and Thomas J. Gagliardi, Jr. (wife Tina) of Rouzerville, PA; seven grandchildren; and three siblings, Wallace Morris of Fayetteville, PA, Lionel Morris of Hagerstown, MD, and Gail Ann Cooper of Milton, DE. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 10, 2017 from 6 – 8 PM in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA. A memorial service and interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Rd., West, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
