Joseph Englehart, 59, of Shippensburg, PA, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017, at his home. Born July 29, 1958 in Johnstown, PA, he was a son of James J. and Mary C. Majer Englehart. Joe was a 1976 graduate of CASHS. He was employed at Volvo in Hagerstown for over 30 years. Joe was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, the VFW Post 1599, AmVets Post 224, the Marine Corps League, and the Chambersburg Club, all in Chambersburg and the American Legion Post 223 in Shippensburg. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and golfing. In addition to his parents, Joe is survived by three children, Christy Shaffer and (Chris) of Lugoff, SC, Joseph Englehart of Lugoff, SC and Michael Englehart (fiancé Ashley Bailes) of Cleveland, OH; one grandson, Dylan Shaffer of Lugoff, SC; six siblings, Jackie Mitchell (Dennis) of Chambersburg, Jim Englehart (Ceci) of Chambersburg, Jeff Englehart (Tina) of Lugoff, SC; John Englehart (Robin) of Chambersburg, Jerry Englehart (Sue) of Greencastle, and Jay Englehart of Chambersburg. Joe is also survived by his fiancé Mary Jane Diffenbaucher of Shippensburg. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave. Chambersburg, PA. The Very Reverend Fr. Luis R. Rodriguez V.F. will officiate. Inurnment will be at Corpus Christi Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Corpus Christi Catholic Church at the above address.
