Robert Rinick Obituary

Robert Gibbons Rinick, age 81, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at the York Hospital. Born February 21, 1936 in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Robert F. and Helen Gibbons Rinick. Mr. Rinick was a 1954 graduate of the former Chambersburg High School. He went on to work for the former James River Company for 36 years, retiring in 1998. Mr. Rinick was a member of the Franklin Volunteer Fire Department, the VFW Post 1599, and the American legion Post 46, all in Chambersburg. He enjoyed woodworking, which he made various furniture pieces and crafts and coin collecting. Surviving are two children, Randall Rinick of St. Mary’s, GA, and Jamie Poblete (husband Cesar) of York, PA; one grandson, Christopher Poblete; and a sister, Karen Fulford of Schellsburg, IA. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 11:30 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Rev. Murray Stevens will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Heart Association, Franklin/Fulton Division, 1019 Mumma Rd.,Wormleysburg, PA 17043.
