BARBARA ANDERSON HASH, age 74 years of Stewartstown, PA died at her home on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 after a short illness. She was the loving wife of J. Grayson Hash who died on May 27, 2010. Barbara was born at Fountain Green, MD on May 1, 1943. She was a daughter of the late Walton “Sal” and Helen (Lloyd) Anderson. She was a 1961 graduate of North Harford High School in Pylesville, MD. From 1964-2014 she owned and operated Hash Bus Co. in New Park, PA along with her late husband and mother in law. Barbara also drove a school bus from 1975-2013 and was a licensed instructor, teaching many others to drive during those years. She was a longtime and active member of the Centre Presbyterian Church, New Park where she had served as an elder, deacon and trustee. She also taught Sunday School and was an active member of the Women of Centre. Barbara was proud to serve on the Fawn Township Board of Elections for over 40 years. Her memberships include the Triangle Chapter #483 Order of the Eastern Star, Shrewsbury and the Order of the Amaranth. An avid reader and traveler, Barbara was known as a wonderful in law, aunt and friend. She is survived by: One son: James Grayson Hash, III of Grand Rapids, MI One granddaughter: Caitlynn McBride Hickey of Monkton, MD She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelly Lynn Hickey; her sister, Gloria Baronian; and her brother, Herbert Anderson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 24 at 12:00 p.m. at the Centre Presbyterian Church, 83 New Park Road, New Park, PA 17352. Officiating will be her pastor, Reverend James L. Biller, and Reverend Dr. Douglas Winward, retired pastor of Faith Orthodox Presbyterian Church, Fawn Grove. The viewing and visitation will be on Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at 12 p.m. Interment will be in Centre Cemetery.
