George Anthony Baker, Jr.

GEORGE ANTHONY BAKER, JR., 55 years of York, PA died on Friday, May 19, 2017 in York Hospital. He was the companion of Donna Manahan, and they had shared nearly 5 years together. Born on August 15, 1961 in Reisterstown, MD, he was a son of the late George Anthony Baker and Nancy (Holman) Baker. Mr. Baker was an outdoors kind of guy, enjoying motorcycle riding earlier in his life, fishing, nature, spending times at the river and eating crabs. An avid Baltimore Ravens fan, he followed his team closely and also watched NASCAR. George was known to appreciate the little things that make a small difference, but last a lifetime. Family gathering, especially- Christmas Eve celebrations were important to him, and he will be remembered for his quick wit and a good joke that would make everyone laugh. Later in life, George met Donna Manahan at a local pizza shop in Delta, and they were able to spend many nights with friends while he played in the local pool league. In addition to Donna, he is survived by: A brother, Thomas Baker and a sister, Cheryl Sherwood and their families His former wife, Sandra Levitan and her children-Katherine and Robyn Levitan whom he was very instrumental in their younger lives.
