GUY GALINGTON WELLS, age 87 years, died on Thursday, April 19, 2012 in his home in Lewisburg, WV. Formerly of Street, MD, Guy was the husband of Linda Mallamas Wells.
Born on December 27, 1924 in Big Stone Gap, VA, he was the son of the late Emerson and Sarah Wells. A WWII Veteran, Guy proudly served as a US Marine Corps Corporal in the Pacific Theater. He was a lifetime member of the Dublin/Darlington VFW.
Guy began his career with the Dept. of Natural Resources as a ranger at Elk Neck State Park and served the DNR for 25 years. He retired as the FIRST Superintendent of the Gunpowder Falls State Park and Rocks State Park. A devoted husband, dad and poppop, Guy was an excellent hunting partner and friend. He will be greatly missed.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA. Pastor Brian Shockey of Emory United Methodist Church, Street, MD will officiate.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m.
Inurnment will be held on Thursday, April 26th at 11:30 a.m. at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, 11501 Garrison Forest Road Owings Mills, MD 21117.
A reception will follow at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Dublin/Darlington VFW, 3440 Conowingo Road, Darlington, MD.
