Obituary for Thomas R. Tinney

Thomas R. Tinney, Jr., age 76, of Lake City, died Friday, March 25, 2011, at Edinboro Manor. Born April 10, 1934, in Conneaut, OH, he was the son of the late Thomas R. and Thelma Sensabaugh Tinney. Tom served in the US Army and was a member of Girard American Legion Post 494. He had been employed in the maintenance department at PHB for twenty-five years. Earlier in his life, Tom liked to hunt and garden. He also enjoyed working on stock cars and restoring old cars.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his young son Thomas Tinney. He is survived by two daughters: Yvonne E. Tinney of Springboro and Janice Behringer and her husband, Robert, of Girard; a grandson, Jesse L. Tinney of Springboro; a great grandson, Isaak; as well as his best friend, his beagle, Buddy.

Arrangements are in the care of Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East in Girard.
