Anne Collins

Nancy Collins, 87 of Woodlyn (formerly of Springfield and Cape May, New Jersey) passed away Saturday August 31, surrounded by her beloved family and wrapped in love. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas J and the late Nora (Brennan) Collins. She worked for Home Lines Cruise Lines as a District Manager for over 30 years. Her love of travel took her all over the world. Her favorite place was Ireland where both her parents immigrated from in the early 1900s. She devoted her life to her family and to her faith. She was an active member of OLPH until she moved to Cape May New Jersey. While at OLPH she was an active member of Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed sharing her cooking with the priests of the parish on special events. During her time in Cape May she was an active member of St. John of God Parish. She was a CCD teacher in both parishes and enjoyed this immensely. Her and her sister Eileen visited long term care facilities to talk with residents and give them Holy Communion on a weekly basis. One of her loves was gardening. She loved creating a peaceful and beautiful garden for all to enjoy. She loved celebrations and over the years held many festive dinners and parties. Another passion she had was her love of animals. Over the years she had several dogs and cats that she adored. Her legacy will be her devotion to her family, faith and the many happy memories she fostered. Predeceased by her siblings, Paul, Thomas, John, Joseph and Eileen Collins. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation Saturday September 14,2019 10:30am- 11am followed by her Funeral Mass 11 am in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery,Yeadon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Charles Seminary. 100 East Wynnewood Road, Wynnewood, PA 19096
