Anthony Palermo

Anthony F. “Buster” Palermo, 82, died on January 2, 2015, at Heartland Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. Born in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Fred and the late Mary (Tomasco) Palermo, Anthony (Tony) lived in the Holmes section of Ridley Twp for 52 years prior to moving to Arden Courts, Wilmington, DE. He was the devoted and extraordinary father of Debbie (Kevin) Hitchens, Karen (Lois Ford) Palermo and Anthony J. (Francie) Palermo, adoring grandfather of Shauna Goodman and Caitlin Nestor, Michelle and Natalie Palermo, and great-grandfather of 5. He also leaves behind 4 loyal, lifelong friends: Fran Larsen, Dan Murray, Anthony “Reds” Coletta and Tom Scully. He was predeceased by his wife, Ann T. Palermo and his siblings Rose Descano and Louis Palermo. Tony retired from E I DuPont as an Instrument Specialist. He enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the DuPont Country Club. He loved trips to the shore with his family, the holidays, and “Press Cookie Day” with as many as 4 generations baking together. Funeral Mass: Friday 11:00 AM at Our Lady Of Fatima Church, South Ave, Secane. Viewing: Friday from 9 - 10:45 AM at Our Lady Of Fatima Church,.. Burial Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
