Dora McAllister

Dora M. McAllister (nee Weaver), 97 of Aldan, PA, went home to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 3, 2014. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and the late Ella (Dillmore) Weaver. Dora was a loving and caring woman who was extremely devoted to God and her family. Throughout her lifetime, she served on many church boards, taught Bible to young and old and was an active member of the drama ministry at Springfield Baptist Church and Aldan Union Church. Predeceased by her husband, Joseph J. McAllister, son, Robert J. McAllister and 7 siblings. Survived by 2 daughters, Carol L. McAllister, Judith F. (Daniel) Yesavage, 3 sons, John J. (Patricia) McAllister, Joseph N. (Lynn) McAllister and Wayne R. McAllister. Dora was also survived by 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held Saturday, October 11th at 12:30 p.m. at Aldan Union Church, 7 E. Providence Road and Clifton Avenue, Aldan. Friends may visit the family before the service from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at Aldan Union Church. There is parking available in Providence Park, this is in addition to the church parking lot. Her burial is private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent to Explorer Girls Ministry, 311 E. Providence Road, Aldan, PA 19018. Arrangements Kevin M.
