Ed Smith, 72 of Prospect Park, PA, died Thursday January 2, 2014 at his home Ed served in the Air Force from 1959 to 1963. He was a Mechanical Engineer, employed by Hygrade Food & Dietz & Watson Ed was a foster dad for 35 years for CYS. He was a member of ST. Gabriel’s Church, Knights of Columbus Peace Council, Crum Lynne. He was the first coach for the Interboro Swim Team and delivered Meals on wheels for the School House Seniors in Folsom. Survived by his wife: Doris ( nee Averill) Smith, four daughters: Sharon (Leon) Cacioppo of Pittsburgh, PA, Wendy (Robert) Raspa of Prospect Park, PA, Jessica Smith of Prospect Park, PA, Christina Smith of Prospect Park, PA and one son: Steven Smith sister: Sandra Staub grandchildren Cameron ,Kendall ,Connor Brooks; Kole and Katelynn Raspa Funeral Mass Monday 10:00 am at Saint Gabriel's Church, 233 Mohawk Ave., Norwood.
