Edward M. Ellis, 69 of Glenolden, PA, died Friday January 11, 2019 in the Vitas Hospice, Darby, PA.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late John and the late Helen (Harn) Ellis.
Ed lived in Glenolden for the past 15 years coming from SW Philadelphia. Ed served during the Vietnam war with the United States Army. He belonged to the Murray-Stuart American Legion Post 566, former member of the Cahills NYB. Ed enjoyed bowling and playing pinochle.
He was a Mixer & Shader, employed by M.A.B. Paint Company
Predeceased by his brothers Thomas and Dwight Ellis.
Survived by his wife: Elizabeth “Betty” (Seamen) Ellis
Children: Edward (Diana) Ellis, Tracey (Christopher) McLaughlin, Elizabeth (Sean) Terry and Lisa Ellis. His brothers and sisters John (Carol) Ellis, William (Sharon) Ellis, Patrick (Noreen) Ellis, Mark Ellis, Geraldine Ashjian and Dorothy (Emilio) Sciortino. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday January 15, 2019 at 8:30 PM at Kevin M. Lyons Funeral Service, 202 S. Chester Pk., Glenolden
Visitation: Tuesday from 7pm-8:30pm at Kevin M. Lyons Funeral Service
Interment will be Wednesday January 16, 2019,11:30am in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA
