Edward J. “ Wally” Wallace, 73 of Garnet Valley, PA, died Monday April 14,2014 in Good Shepherd Hospice, Philadelphia, PA. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Edward and the late Mary (Peters) Wallace. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Wally retired in 2004 as a Supervisor, for David Weber Container Co. Phila, PA Wally grew up in Philadlephia and was a graduate of Roman Catholic High School in 1958. He raised his children in Delaware County, PA. Wally lived in Garnet Valley for the past 6 months coming from Villas, NJ. where he retired.He belonged to the Villas Fishing Club. He was an avid dart shooter belonging to South Philly and Villas Dart Leagues. He was a member of the Philadelphia Boys Club and was a pool champion. He was a Philadelphia sports fan and loved watching the Eagles and Flyers and Phillies with his family. He enjoyed going to the movies and was considered a movie expert. In a wonderful way, he touched many lives. Predeceased by his sister Carol Campbell. Survived by his wife of 41 years: Joan I. (Burgett) Wallace, seven sons: Dennis (Ana) O'Neill, Eddie (Dawn) O'Neill, Joey (Susan) O'Neill, Vincent (Mary Lou) O'Neill, Danny O'Neill, Michael (Meg) O'Neill, and Eddie Wallace two daughters: Katie O'Neill (Tom) Mulhern, Karen Wallace (Pat ) Braun Brother-in- laws Larry Campbell, Eddie Burgett and Marc Burgett. 20 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren, He loved them all. Memorial service Saturday April 26, 2014 1 pm at Kevin M. Lyons Funeral Service, 202 S. Chester Pk, Glenolden Friends may call Saturday April 26, 2014 11am-1pm at Kevin M.
