Hanna M. Masterson (nee Duggan) of Rutledge, PA, died Wednesday, February 8, 2017, in her home.
Born in Ballyheige, County Kerry, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Bridget (Grady) Duggan.
Hanna lived in Rutledge for the past 8 years, and previously resided in Glenolden.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and a great grandmother. Hanna was also a devoted Catholic having been a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and a former member of St. Anastasia and Our Lady of Fatima Church.
Her greatest joy in life was her Catholic faith. She often told everyone her faith helped her through all her joys and tragedies. In living her faith, she was an active member of Our Lady of Fatima Church and of the Charismatic Renewal Prayer Group, volunteered for various committees, served as a tutor for adults learning to read, served on the prison ministry to correspond with inmates to keep the faith. The role of “Prayer Warrior” suited her best. She prayed for all her family, friends, the unborn and even strangers’ requests for the Lord’s intersession.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Francis H. Masterson, her precious children Eileen and James Masterson, her siblings John Joe Duggan, Andrew Duggan, Sheila Buckley, Bridie Duggan and Maureen Fiss.
Survived by her children; dear and treasured mother to: Carol (Tim) Golden, Michael (Kristine) Masterson, Thomas Masterson, Francis (Anne) Masterson and Timothy Masterson, Daughter-in-law Victoria Masterson, Brother: William Duggan,
16 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral Mass: Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Amosland Road, Morton, PA.
Friends may call Wednesday from 9 to10:00 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
Internment Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
