HARRY A. SMITH, 89 Decorated WWII Veteran Harry A. Smith passed away on December 25, 2012. Born and raised in Rhode Island and lived in Prospect Park for 37 years. Harry retired as a welder from General Chemical in 1987. He was a professional chair caner and loved the lure of Saturday garage sales. Harry was decorated with the Distinguished Flying Cross and other awards after service in China during World War II. Survivors: His Loving wife of 46 years, Ethel (Boutelle) Smith; Daughters, Nancy E. Lynn, Prospect Park, Karyn M. Crawford, Drexel Hill, Diane R. Smith, New Castle, DE, Patricia Deitch (Jerry) and Elizabeth (Jim) of RI , son, Harry Allen Smith (Marta), RI, brother: Roy Lawrence, Texas; three grandsons: Bryan J. Kerns; Alex J. Lynn; Travis Smith; two granddaughters, Lisa; Erica; and two great-grandsons, Pre-deceased by his Brother, Albert, Sister, Arlene, granddaughter, Joyce Visitation: 9-11AM with a Service of Remembrance at 10:30 at Kevin M. Lyons Funeral Service, 202 S. Chester Pike, Glenolden, PA.
